Senior Research Analyst – Boston, MA

The Senior Research Analyst is a senior member of PHOTON's Structured Products, Research, and Data team, with responsibility for helping clients capture value by providing actionable, high quality information to help them make decisions, drive revenue through increased volume or price, better manage costs and/or lower operating risk.

This role requires the following experience, skills and abilities:

  • A bachelor's degree in a quantitative and/or technology field, preferably engineering or economics, and a graduate degree in business or similar, and at least 5 years experience in a PV manufacturing or operations role (including P & L responsibility), as a PV/electricity market consultant or leading the market analysis/strategic planning function in a PV/electricity company, including experience working outside the United States
  • Strong expertise in the PV manufacturing supply chain,  including knowledge of PV companies, technologies and manufacturing processes, the impact of PV on traditional electricity markets, knowledge of generation /transmission/distribution/metering technologies, regulatory structures and economics
  • A dynamic personality who is very comfortable speaking to and working with C level executives of large companies; an analytical approach, with the ability to both dive deep and see the big picture; capable of analyzing a situation from a client’s perspective and shaping client communications accordingly
  • Very strong communication skills; ability to communicate complex information clearly and effectively
  • Fluency in an Asian language, particularly Mandarin, is a significant plus

Inside Sales Manager – Boston, MA

The Sales Manager is responsible managing a team of Sales Representatives, focused exclusively on B2B selling. This role is ideal for candidates who can bring their selling management experience to an existing team and apply new and innovative approaches to the value selling process with proven methodologies. Reporting to the Director of Business Development, the Sales Manager will help take the team to the next level of performance by implementing innovative sales strategies to shape the team for sustained growth and by:

  • Carrying out strategic sales plans to achieve company goals and participate in development of new prospecting strategies
  • Working to develop a best in class sales team, using value selling best practices; provide hands on mentoring, coaching, development and oversight to team.
  • Working with each sales rep to ensure achievement of company goals and adherence to established processes
  • Monitoring performance and provide reports and data to senior management

This role requires the following experience, skills and abilities:

  • At least 6 years of successful sales experience, including successfully managing a B2B Sales team in a consulting, data or research sales environment.
  • Ability to motivate and manage the team day to day without losing sight of the strategic objectives
  • A proven track record of quota or budget attainment
  • Solid  experience building, leading, coaching and mentoring inside sales teams in a high volume model
  • Ability to provide accurate forecasting and pipeline development and management
  • An entrepreneurial, self-directed approach to work, with a passion to succeed
  • Knowledge of / experience using Salesforce highly preferred

Inside Sales Representative – Boston, MA

Great opportunity to start your sales career! The insides sales representative contacts prospective clients, over the phone, to build prospective client list and establish relationships. Responsibilities will include making 75+ Outbound Calls a Day selling Photon’s premier programs.

Account Executive – Boston, MA

The Account Executive sells and promotes Photon Consulting products and services through managing  and expanding existing relationships for at least  50, and up to 75, accounts

This role requires the following experience, skills and abilities:

  • BA/BS in Business, Marketing or related discipline
  • Solid experience with both new client acquisitions and account management, including at least 6 years progressive experience selling data, research or consulting services

Business Development Manager - Shanghai, China

The Business Development Manager will be responsible for promoting and selling PHOTON Consulting products and services in the region by:

  • Establishing new relationships
  • Acquiring new accounts
  • Managing the growth of the existing account base
  • Providing quality insights to PHOTON management team on new market developments in the photovoltaic sector in the region
  • Continuously developing his/her own industry expertise and analytical skills
  • This role requires the following experience, skills and abilities:

    • A 4 year degree and at least 6 years of progressive sales experience selling consulting, data, research services  or other complex products where establishing strong business relationships is critical to success
    • Currently living and working in China, or solid knowledge of and experience working in China and/or Japan.
    • Fluency in either Mandarin or Japanese combined with strong written and spoken English
    • Demonstrated successful experience managing and achieving quotas as established
    • Solid understanding of general business and the structure of organizations
    • Strong negotiation skills and ability to lead sales process to closure
    • Solid listening and communication skills; ability to identify and synthesize clients’ issues and articulate an action plan to clients and to team effectively
    • Proven success prioritizing, organizing and managing to plans in a highly dynamic industry and/or working environment
    • Experience in the solar power or energy industries is preferred

    Corporate Trainer – Boston, MA

    This newly created role will be responsible for building an organizational wide training program and ensuring training is delivered as planned. Responsibilities will include:

    • Working with HR and team heads/management team to assess training needs
    • Evaluating existing training materials
    • Project managing the creation of new / updated materials by working with internal resources
    • Developing plans and schedules
    • Providing guidance and expertise to internal trainers
    • Preparing a syllabus for each program, ensuring content disseminates knowledge as needed,
    • Providing guidance and expertise to internal trainers and assist with preparing class takeaways/homework
    • Managing all details of training delivery: scheduling, flow, supplies and internal subject matter experiences

    This role requires the following experience, skills and abilities:

    • Four year degree; graduate degree in teaching, organizational development or similar discipline preferred, and at least 5 years experience building and delivering training programs; experience must include building training on proprietary processes and methodology from the ground up
    • Strong project management experience, including demonstrated success developing training content with complex material that required contributions from many different people / teams within the organization
    • At least 3 years experience, and demonstrated success, leading and carrying out the development of training programs in a growing organization, preferably consulting, research, technology or similar knowledge based organization
    • Strong prioritization and organizational skills; ability to quickly assess the best way to move forward and articulate plan to others. Must be a strong project manager - open, friendly and approachable, but results oriented and capable of holding people/teams accountable
